Lousy Restaurant Manager

Yesterday (30th Dec'08) was my last paper whereby I can bye-bye to exam (at least for a while). My classmates decided to head to somewhere to chill out with a drink after our "curry" dinner as proposed by my classmate (Thanks Constance).
So we walk along the stretch of pubs & restaurants located at Clark Quay. Finally, we ended up at Asylum which is a pub-restaurant concept with pretty nice decoration. 5-10 mins into our 1st drinks, suddenly, we heard some noisy commotion in the background, to our disgust, the manager was reprimanding their service staff seated in the middle of the pub with volume much louder than the background music (see picture below - 6 waitress in white).
30 mins into the session, the disgusting ranting still on-going with no end in sight. Before I place my 2nd order of the night, a check with the waitress for an "estimated time" for that ranting to stop resulted in a quick reply "soon". Well, it seems to me that such saga is happening on a daily basis. True enough, halfway through my 2nd drink, the ranting finally STOP !
With further probing, it was mentioned that fat-so manager was actually from another outlet located next door !!! What a way to use another outlet to hang their dirty linen :)
By ignoring the presence and respect towards the customers, this tell how well she was "groomed" to be the manager of that restaurant ! In my opinion, she was completely off in the way she handled her staff at the expense of customers :
- Wrong place to conduct prep talk (hang dirty linen in public ???)
- Wrong attitude in delivery of prep talk
- Wrong timing to conduct prep talk (during operational hours ???)
Will i go there again ? Hell No ! Unless I lost my sainty & seeking asylum there :)
