Before this article, it wasn't known to me that all sales person in a lingerie shop was served by man. Thus, it has resulted in public outrage (especially ladies) whom have to face embarrassment in purchasing their lingerie from those guys that resulted in a boycott. Check this out.

Personal opinion, I think a lingerie shop should provide sales person from both sexes. Why guys ? Because they could help those ladies shopping for a lingerie to make a right choice by giving them opinions on what guys would like to see from their wives/girlfriends ! This will save them the trouble of 2nd guess as well as getting first hand opinions instead of bias or inaccurate information from female friends.

Ho Ching, wife of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, will step down as CEO of Singapore state own Temasek Holding.

Well, the natural question will be, why now ?

Nevertheless, what caught my attention is the way different media put it across. For example, you can compare the tone and content of both article from Straits Times and Reuters.

Based on the article from Reuters, the potential loss has been summarized as follow :

1. Invested in Barclays PLC on 23rd July 2007 worth S$3 billion at a share price of 7.20 per share (see link) with current price worth slightly more than a dollar.

2. Acquired a 49.6% stake in Shin Corp (see link) worth S$3.1 billion at a share price of THB 49.25. Based on the last traded price in SET, it was closed at THB 17.40 on 6th Feb 2009. That represent a whopping 64% difference.

3. Loss of S$2 billion from a investment of S$5 billion in Merill Lynch

Well, the potential losses are remained to be seen in a longer run, nevertheless, it sounds like a pretty tough job for the next Temasek Holding CEO to be handed with. Sounds like a deja-vu between George W. Bush and US President Barack Obama happening in our own soil :)

What a shame that the shop I do patronize at times got their tobacco license suspended ! I'm sure there are much more retail shops selling cigarettes to underage noti boys and girls.

At times, the benefit of doubt have to be given to those underage teenagers who looks more mature than usual (e.g. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). The employee can't be checking 100% on all purchase of cigarettes which will result in long queue and embarrassing moment for the customer.

What a Dad ! Taking test on behalf of his child by disguising himself as a 20 years old lad (btw, he's 54 years old). He even go into the extent of perming his hair to "look young". Wow ! What a sacrifice to make !

Nevertheless, will this be a future trend whereby parents will do anything for the sake of their child including taking test for them ?

I can't imagine what kind of parenthood will that result into ? Imagine a dad taking IPPT test for his son who is simply too lazy to exercise and go for RT lessons ? Gosh.........

Who knows, maybe in future, there will be a market demand for such services resulting in companies been setup to cater to such demand :)

Build ERP Gantry

Never did I came across any citizens proposing to LTA to erect an ERP gantry !

Very often, we hear business and motorist complaining about LTA erecting ERP here and there resulting in almost Every Road Pay ! And that raises their expenses and similarly affecting sales traffic especially for those shops located within an ERP zone.

Nevertheless, Mr. Raymond Koh has wrote to the forum requesting LTA to consider erecting an ERP gantry to prevent those motorist of "siaming" ERP resulting in "heavy congestion" in Toa Payoh.

So folks, if your daily journey fits Mr. Raymond Koh's description, sit tight and be prepared for an ERP gantry erecting your way soon :)

Education Preview Session - Can be better

Last week, I attended a Msc course (awarded by National University of Ireland - Business School) preview at Kaplan. Apparently, the response was overwhelming resulting in shortage of seats for the preview session. It was estimated to be around 80 pax crammed into a single room while the rest have to stand outside the room looking into the room via the transparent glass (looks like watching TV without audio).

Anyway, below I will summarized what I like and dislike about last week session.

Likes

1. Nice place with pretty "new" decoration and furnishing though I have not visit the entire campus.

2. Great location - Located just behind Centerpoint with lots of makan places & easily accessible (unlike MIS where you need to walk the "Great Wall of China" couple with anacondas and the smoke from temple street)

Well, I certainly hope they do not follow what Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS) did a year back when students weren't informed about the change in location to some really ulu place prior to signing up for the course. Worse still, the change happen in the middle of the semester with students only been informed verbally (follow up with an email 7 days before the relocation) . By the way, do you know where is Raeburn Park (estimated 1KM walk from nearest MRT with no public transport) ?

3. The modules for the Master program is conducted in a consecutive manner. For example, within a trimester (4 months), each student need to complete 2 modules. Instead of doing 2 together, you do the 1st module in the 1st and 2nd month follow by the 2nd module in the 3rd and 4th month.

4. Payment for the course fees can be made using credit card 12 months interest free installment method

Dislikes

1. They should not combine both Msc and Bsc preview in a single session. Guess it's due to cost and efficieny issues at the expense of quality.

2. The purpose of registering for the preview is to aid the presenter in ensuring adequate seats are catered for the preview. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case when it's simply based on first come first serve basis resulting in registered participants been denied a seat (e.g. gate crashers).

3. Though it's necessary to present the strength (e.g. ranking, association and accredition) of the program, however, I felt that may not be adequate. I guess, they should spend a portion of the time in explaining the relevancy of the program to the target industry/occupation.

Anybody got any comments on Irish accent ?

For those downloaders who are planning or already using rapidshare account, recently, I came across a user selling for $5 (Euro) per month !

Comparing with the price from rapidshare (see above), in order to enjoy $5 Euro per month, you would need to buy 6 months in advance ! Thus, it's kinda of a steal to be able to enjoy $5 with only 1 month subscription. This is useful especially when certain months you hardly have anything to download.

Recently, I came across a news (click here) whereby an Australian lady burn her husband's penis because she's suspecting him of having an affair ! Gosh ! Must be a nightmare for any guys having such a wife around. Too bad, the guy died without having any second chance for revival.

So scenario of the week, what would you do ?

Guys

Do not sleep with your wife ? Ensure that your door is locked (preferably a biometric lock)
Wear Chasity belt to prevent Edward scissors hand doing his job ?
A proximity sensor (something like 7-11 store - ding dong.....) to prevent her from sneaking behind your back
Volunteer to be an eunuch before somebody else do the job for you

Seriously, I would advice having a divorce and get out of the house rather than on a constant worry & lookout for the kerosene/cutter coming your way.

Yesterday, one of my friend forwarded an email with regards to a blog written by a lady from China (click link). Similarly, her grievances was posted over at STOMP website as well (click link).

The content of the blog is describing the journey on how this Singaporean man cheated her youth & money. By the way, the content is pretty detailed with all the information about that Singaporean guy available there :) Information such as his full name, NRIC, office address,, occupation, home address and address of his parents.

Well, the morale of the story, respect the rules of engagement. Typically, engagement are purely transactional with no strings attached. Failure to observe such rules will result in serious consequences which I guess that Singaporean guy has finally learned through this fiasco.

Nevertheless, I will sign off with a word of advice : 3G - Get in, Get out and Get off.

Converting Air to Electricity

Well, guess today will probably be the 1st working day of the year. If that's the case, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year and a successful year ahead !

Anyway, came across this interesting idea contributed by Mr. Tan Kok Tim. He is suggesting the use turbine to convert air created by lift into electricity. How noble and innovative :)

Nevertheless, I would like to bring the innovative idea to a step "higher". Instead of using air created by lift, why don't we use the fart created by human ? It's easily installed and with island wide coverage. Thus, with those fart, we can easily turn turbine and get free electricity :)

Quick, award me the noble prize for this innovation :)

SOFT-WEEK : Will You Buy ?

Due to economic reasons (sounds like very common reasons nowadays), my office has made some modification to the shuttle services which ferry employees between MRT station.

The changes are summarized as follow :

For those who die die need to enjoy the free shuttle service would mean that they need to work an additional half an hour due to a single shuttle service from office to MRT at 6p.m ! Thus, the only way that you will not be short change by the company is to start your working hours at 8.30a.m, however, the price to pay is to forgo the benefit & convenience of the free shuttle service, pay your own shuttle bus fare and enduring a 830m walk from bus-stop to office !

So enough of the whining & let's get down to business. Because of the above mentioned circumstances, it has inspired me to write the following scenario that suddenly come to my mind.

From the above, the most painful part of not taking the free shuttle service at 8.am is the 830m walk along the "Great Wall of China" :) What if we could design a "SitCycformer" equipment that could transform (without the ke-ku-ku sound) between a seat and a bicycle, that would certainly be a win-win situation !

Some of the benefits I could think of :

Environmental friendly - nothing beat 2 legs comparing with 4 wheels that fart all the way in their journey
Guarantee a seat at all mode of public transport !!! Imagine, you no longer need to dash for seat in the MRT any more ! And best of all, you need NOT to have to give up the seat to any "priority" seekers giving you the Fxxx off look :)
Healthy lifestyle - eh......time to burn some fats especially guys who need to take IPPT :)

Now the question is, will you buy such equipment for S$200 ?

Seldom do we came across World War I movies especially when no Americans, British or Nazi Germans are involved ! Infact, this movie is purely from the perspective of the Canadian troops !

After Sergeant Dunne (Paul Gross) was injured from his tour of duty in Belgium, (Battle of Passchendaele) he was attended by nurse Sarah (Caroline Dhavernas) who he eventually fell in love with her. Sarah has a brother who was naive and in love with a doctor's daughter. Disapproving the relationship between her daughter and Sarah's brother, the doctor decided to approve and encourage Sarah's brother into joining the fontline forces (an effort to ensure he will not be alive long enough).

To save Sarah's brother, Sergeant Dunne decided to rejoin the front line forces with the aim of protectcing Sarah's brother. Did Sarah's brother survived ? Did Sergeant Dunne reunite with Sarah ? Watch on..............

Not much publicity about this show or any prior encounters with the actresses and actors. I'm wondering will it get to Singapore (somehow - hope not).

In a city where suddenly a plague that causes blindness to any normal healthy person has been creating havoc within the country. With no cure in sight and scientists not able to explain the phenomenon, the government decided to quarantine those infected in a designated area. Worse of all, the diseases is contagious in nature whereby it can be easily spread from one person to another.

Soon, as days goes by, the quarantine center is getting more crowded with more infected victims send to the center. With food getting scarce, victims from different wards tried securing the food supplies at the expense of others. From here, barbaric actions start to evolve with the food controller taking advantage of the weak.

Nevertheless, within the quarantine center, there was a lady (wife of a doctor who was infected and quarantine as well) who was immune to the whole fiasco but yet kept it as a secret so that she could continue to take care of her husband and others as well.

After spending 2 hrs, the show doesn't explain what kind of disease, how does it comes about and finally how did it just suddenly disappear. It's just the type of show whereby you will throw a paper+stone and follow by a middle finger sign to the TV :(

Based on a true story set during World War II era where 3 Jewish brothers escaped from German occupation in Poland into Belarussian forest. (Eastern Europe near to Russia - Belarus).

Along their journey, one of the brother, Tuvia Bielski (Daniel Craig from Quantum of Solace and other James Bond movies) found additional refugees and decided to lead them as well. Thus, the challenge of leading the old, women and young in a vigurious condition, sufficient food to feed and running away from the Germans prove to be indeed challenging.

The show main focus is towards the forming of the community (how they get together and work as a team in erecting shelters and sharing of duties) and conflict within community under the leadership of Tuvia.

It seems to me that the moment Daniel Craig is stripped off from his 3 piece suit, flashy cars, beautiful women to flirt around and of course his 007 Bond identity, he doesn't seems to act very well. Infact, it's kinda of stiff at times.

Overall, it's a pretty average show, not suitable for war junkies and not much surprising scenes to talk about.

This movie is not anything like the previous 2 movies from Will Smith (Hancock & I am Legend) but more towards Pursuit of Happyness. So action pack lovers, be warned !

The show is talking about a man, Ben Thomas (Will Smith) under lots of guilt and wanted to make a difference by transforming the lives of 7 strangers. Along his journey, he fell in love with one of the strangers he supposed to help

From initial 1 hour of the show, I really am clueless on what was he trying to do and why did he did this and that ? Why does he talk to people like that (especially to the blind man) ? Last of all, why is he so free with all the time in the world calling and visiting strangers ?

The problem with the show is it does require patience from the audience as the cat is only loosen towards the last 15 mins of the show which kinda of explain the prior 1hr 45mins "Why" !

Watch on if you are interested to find out what kind of guilt does he has, why 7, what did he do to transform the lives of 7 strangers and lastly, what did he exchanged in the process of providing those miracles..................

This is not a typical Bollywood show you would typically see in the movies, however, the ending does resemble quite a fair bit due to the tradition of adding choreography dance moves :(

Anyway, this show talks about an 18 years old boy, Jamal, who was in the midst of becoming the 1st Indian to win the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" show. He was only 2 questions away from winning the top prize of 20 million rupees. However, the host wasn't convinced he was that smart and suspected of cheating by Jamal.

Unfortunately, Jamal was arrested by the police for further investigation. This is where the story start to get interesting. For every correct answer to the question posed by the game show, there was a sad story behind it.

It was terrible to see another forsaken side of India where we are sitting at the comfort of our home watching those kids been exploited by the society and robbing their innocence and youth. Those 2 kids who reenacted Jamal and his brother was supereb in their acting, very realistic and at the same time, pitiful.

Nevertheless, I will leave the ending whereby whether Jamal won the final prize and his journey to becoming a millionaire to you............

Upon rushing back from work, she realised that her child went missing. 5 months later, her missing child finally came back home with the help of LAPD. However, that was not her child afterall.

Throughout the whole show, the story will unveil the political showmanship of LAPD trying to gain credits as well as concealing their misdeeds in the ongoing investigation that lead to a public outcry and anguish that drove the final nail to the Chief's coffin.

Not a typical Angeline Joline show but she did put on a pretty good performance in expressing the joy, fear and heartbreaking experience of losing a child to a psychopath.

Did she finally find her son ? What happen in between ? Set aside 2hrs and 17 mins to find that out.........................

Lousy Restaurant Manager

Yesterday (30th Dec'08) was my last paper whereby I can bye-bye to exam (at least for a while). My classmates decided to head to somewhere to chill out with a drink after our "curry" dinner as proposed by my classmate (Thanks Constance).

So we walk along the stretch of pubs & restaurants located at Clark Quay. Finally, we ended up at Asylum which is a pub-restaurant concept with pretty nice decoration. 5-10 mins into our 1st drinks, suddenly, we heard some noisy commotion in the background, to our disgust, the manager was reprimanding their service staff seated in the middle of the pub with volume much louder than the background music (see picture below - 6 waitress in white).

30 mins into the session, the disgusting ranting still on-going with no end in sight. Before I place my 2nd order of the night, a check with the waitress for an "estimated time" for that ranting to stop resulted in a quick reply "soon". Well, it seems to me that such saga is happening on a daily basis. True enough, halfway through my 2nd drink, the ranting finally STOP !

With further probing, it was mentioned that fat-so manager was actually from another outlet located next door !!! What a way to use another outlet to hang their dirty linen :)

By ignoring the presence and respect towards the customers, this tell how well she was "groomed" to be the manager of that restaurant ! In my opinion, she was completely off in the way she handled her staff at the expense of customers :

Wrong place to conduct prep talk (hang dirty linen in public ???)
Wrong attitude in delivery of prep talk
Wrong timing to conduct prep talk (during operational hours ???)

Well, if I'm the boss or her staff, I do will myself as well as the customers a favour in sacking this disgusting, fatty & pea brain manager. Guess, she really understand the meaning of Asylum to do such a stunt there.................

Will i go there again ? Hell No ! Unless I lost my sainty & seeking asylum there :)

Jason Statham once again is back as Frank Martin in the Transporter movie. Wat's up from this kung fu bald man up to this time ? Nothing much, very typical story line on how he suddenly been rope (aganist his will) into transporting a lady (daughter of a powerful political figure in Ukraine) from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until both of them ended up in Odessa. Throughout the journey, they need to fight the bad guys with endless energy and resouces. At the same instance, they need to keep alive by not straying away from their car due to a bomb is attached to their wrist (how lame).

Consistent as usual, Jason once again display his well choreograph kung fu fight against bad guys who doesn't seems to know how how to USE A GUN ! Anyway, if they knew, there wouldn't be much kung fu show. The lady, I thought should be someone prettier than Natalya who's face is full of freckles that kinda of turn me off. Beside, her acting skill is pretty armature that make me wonder has the economic crisis taken a toll on the movie industry that they cut cost at the expense of beauty ?

Anyway, not a movie I would recommend and I strongly give it a miss and take a nap instead.

SOFT-WEEK : Will You Stop ?

This event was inspired by a true event happened to my colleague a few weeks back while he was participating in Standard Charter Marathon Run (sorry bro, got to borrow your incident for this week's scenario).

It started off with a causal conversaton over lunch where he shared with us on what he did over that weekend. He wasn't too satisfied with his timing (5 hrs xx mins for 42KM run !!!!) as compared with the previous year. So I asked further, what could have been better or rather, what causes the decline in performance ?

Well, that's where the fun begin when he elaborate further on what causes the delay. 2 hrs into the run, suddenly, his stomach felt bad as if a tornado is whinning inside. At the same instance, he felt the tsunami is at the tip of his asshole, any further attempt to hold will result in undersireable consequences. Knowing the danger is just a fart away, without further ado, he dashed to the nearest toilet along East Coast Park and that cost him additional 12 mins !!! For once, I was wondering how the hell he managed to shit and pant at the same time, must be challenging enough !

Anyway, that reminds me of one incident that happened sometime in June this year. There was a marathon runner in LA who faced similar situation. However, he did not let that situation rob him of any additional minutes, instead, he controlled the situation by "uncontrolling" himself !!! Gosh !!! What a mess :)

So the scenario of the week, who's action will you choose ? Stop or continue running ?

After a hard day work on Friday, I was lying on the couch hoping to watch something to send me to bed earlier and I pop in Gran Torino knowing how boring Clint Eastwood can be. I was thinking to myself, within the next 15 mins, I should be dead asleep (the whole show is about 2 hrs long). To my surprise, though the starting is slow and abit boring, however, I was captured by how the show develop the characters (especially Clint Eastwood) and the friendship between the neighbours and himself.

Gran Torino is about a man who fought in Korean war in the 1950s. From then till present, he has been living in his past and not able to forgive something which the show did not elaborate. By the way, throughout the whole show, you will not get to see any war at all (so war junkies, take note).

Thereafter his wife passed away, he was left all alone by himself and a dog of course. He has 2 sons (during the show, only 1 of them is visible) and like in a typical storyline, both the son and daughter in law wanted to send him to home for the age and stun his property for $$$.

Living beside his home house a family from Laos. This is where the fun begin on how Clint Eastwood becomes a hero of that community and get up close and personal with them. Throughout the journey, he has come to learn about their culture and accepted their way of living. Likewise, Clint Eastwood managed to inspire a young boy who was lost in what he wanted to do in life.

Nothing is perfect and there are always trouble in disturbing peace. Watch on to see how the bond between Clint Eastwood and his neighbor grew to a point where great sacrifice goes beyond one's life................................

This is a new section whereby I hope to contribute crazy ideas to set you thinking about the actions to come from such scenarios ! Feel free to comment and contribute ideas to this section as well.

Anyway, for the debut, we managed to have the privilege from our anonymous contributor named kiki. The following scenario were inspired from one of his recent trip to a gent.......................

If you are shitting in the office toilet.. and you get a call on your HP... do you pick up the call? If only sometimes, which are the calls you would pick up and which ones won't u pick up...

Cos I was just peeing in the loo... and a phone rang.. and someone (whose voice I recognized) actually picked up and started having a conversation... I fould it unusual as I would not pick up.... if I can reach the phone, I would reject the call and sms the fella that I will call back. What abt you? :)

Hmmmmmm........sounds like a tricky question to me. Anyway, I may or may not answer the call (depending on who was the caller).

Yes, I will pick up the call if that caller is somebody I detest alot. When on earth you got a chance to fart at that person "legally". Though he/she could not smell it, but the sound and the thought of it will set you on a winning streak with sky high confidence and pride. No, I will not pickup especially during "warring session" whereby the "projectile" is near the end of the tunnel, it certainly going to cause some level of "u-turn" since the process has been disturbed !

Lastly, I wouldn't want to risk any damage to my image I build over a period of time. That's what we call brand marketing. Unless, if you are really interested to show ppl how loud and deadly those fart sound to be, by all means, be my guest. But never do that on me hor ! Hahaha.

Sex for pass - ICA Officer Charged

Wow This is the 4th case of corruption by Singapore ICA in recent times. Earlier on this year, an ICA specialist was charged for $30 bribe ! See link.

Another top ranking immigration officer was charged with 27 charges (including harbouring an illegal female immigrant from China). See link.

Last month, a high ranking ICA officer was charged for accepting bribe totaling S$140,000 over a period of time. See link.

Now, we have the recent case of another ICA personnel accepting bribes in the form of sexual favour ! Very entrepreneur but still get caught !

A 4.3% wage hike, really?

Well, I guess, with those cost cutting measures and retrenchment only to benefit those people getting those 4.3% wage hike !

Based on what I know today, companies are imposing longer than expected period of shutdown, shelf aside annual pay increment and variable bonus and some companies even have trouble paying their employees AWS !

Gosh ! Looks like we are having a rough ride for the upcoming days to come. Stay strong and all the very best in staying afloat for this tsunami.

Woes of the Creditor

What an interesting read ! I did not know until now, you could only get bankrupt if you owe your creditor $10,000 and above ! Based on the article, you could get away with paying only $100 to make it $9,900 instead :) Nice !

Beside, those bankrupt will be discharged from bankruptcy after a period of 3 years ! Best of all, in the event of a confiscation exercise, the debtor will somehow be notified in advance before the commencement of the auctioning exercise ! How thoughtful :)

Bottom line, make sure that your debtor owe you way more than $10K and assets are heavy to "sneak away" in advance during an auctioning exercise ?

Well, I leave it up to you since I will not have that much money to lend anyone at all :)

What a marketing campaign initiated by Durex to promote safe sex. Too bad, I did not bother to go to Orchard road over the weekend to grab myself a copy of that wonderful and sexciting "Kamasutra" handbook :)

Nevertheless, Durex has compiled a booklet containing 7 juicy stories documenting most embarrassing sex stories shared by their volunteers ranging between the age of early 20s to late 30s. Though the book is targeted at 18 years old and above, I'm not too sure whether there is any PG18 rating on the book :)

Who knows, in future, instead of publishing in a form of booklet, Durex reenact the event and distributed via the means of a viral video. Of course, at the opening warning messages should be included to prevent home viewers from practicing at home without the supervision of their parents :)

Fewer Malls Offer motorcycle parking lots

I understand it doesn't concern most of you since the majority of you folks are either driving or taking public transport like me :(

Anyway, I'm writing based on my 10 years of experience with motorbiking. As I always tell my friend, in any building, you can 101% confirm to find a parking facilities for car but I can't say the same for motorcycle (cast aside the availability of parking lot). Name me a place whereby there is legal parking facilities for only motorcycle and not car ? (I buy you a MacDonald value meal if you able to name one)

Many years back, I still remember when I was trying to park my bike beside Cineleisure whereby there is a basement carpark sloping downards (just like a deep dark cave). Upon heading towards that hole, to my disgust, I was greeted with a sign indicating no motorcycle parking. To me, it's as good as pointing a middle finger at me and I could hear a voice whispering in my head asking me to "F.O" !

Imagine, there were several cars behind me and each and everyone of them have to reverse slightly to make way for me to perform a magical u-turn right infront of them ! Hahaha. How loser sia !

Nevertheless, it may point to Singaporeans are getting richer, car getting more afforable or shopping malls wanted to convert those money losing space into profit to beat the recession ? Well, I leave that thought to you...................

Singtel Launches Tracking Services

Bad news for Singtel subscribers ! Singtel has recently launched a new and affordable service whereby YOU CAN BE TRACKED anytime and anywhere in Singapore ! Well, to me this sounds like an intrusion of privacy and encouraging dis-trust between parties.

The way Singtel market this service is by targeting the elderly and young ones whereby their safety is a prime concern. Thus, with a press of a few buttons on the mobile phone, their location could be reported back to requestor. Fortunately, this transaction will not be successful without the consent of the user simply by accepting the request on the mobile phone.

Nevertheless, I am pretty sure this is another tool whereby the target audience could be expanded to include checking on spouse and partners as well. Probably, it will create more argument and frustration between parties due to the unwillingness to accept the location request or accepting the request in an untimely fashion (to evade from been at the wrong place at the wrong time). This may intensify the situation and escalate the tension to the next level.

Fortunately, I wasn't with Singtel and this is the best defence you can have for now (until Starhub and M1 start offering such service as well). No service, no check, no talk and no argument. Men better at detecting infidelity ?

What an interesting news article claiming men is better at detecting infidelity ! Does that translate to better prevention of wearing a green hat for the guys ?

My personal view is that, in some way, there’s a certain amount of truth in it.

In a typical Asian culture (though the survey was conducted in the West with an unknown sample size), men tend to lead the family, provide for the family and making most of the decisions (I certainly hope that’s true for the guys reading this blog). If the spouse was caught having an affair (Ladies, a tip for you, sing “It Wasn’t Me” by Shaggy), that certainly put a dent deeply to a man’s pride and ego. With the stakes are high, it’s natural to extend his radar to pick up any abnormalities in the spouse’s behaviour.

Next, if both parties do not see each other long/often enough, thoughts tend to run astray and be paranoid about everything. For example, maid issues, I have colleagues and friends that keep on worry about their maid activities back home. Some even installed CCTV to ensure control is still within grasp while others will periodically gave a ring back home to check on them. Thus, I believe, once you can’t get to see something, you tend to be paranoid or skeptical about things may happen. At this point, I do not believe it’s a Mars versus Venus issue but rather a simple common physiological nature.

Lastly, ladies tend to be more emotional and guys steering towards transactional, it will result in a different length of infidelity. The longer you stay in it, the chance of getting caught will increase as well. Thus, that probably explain why guys are better at detecting infidelity, not because man are better but simply the duration of infidelity by ladies are longer that attract unnecessary attention. I know I’m been stereotyping over here (no hard feeling), but dun bash me up for that, I’m just a messenger to spice up your boring day. Ugly Singaporean Chiongster tussle over $10 tips

A fellow stomper witnessed an encounter while passing by one of the popular nightclub in his course of work as an electrician. During one night, as he walked pass one of the KTV room, there was a commotion that caught the electrician’s attention. Out of curiosity, he head towards the source of the commotion and to his horror, there was a tall, skinny and bespectacled Singaporean customer in his early thirties quarreling with a lady furiously while puffing his Marlboro light cigarette away with a conceited look on his face. Perhaps, he was hoping to use some level of smoke screen to get away from the situation.

Throughout the commotion, there was a constant physical tussle between both parties and upon interviewing his friends (introduced to the electrician as R.Martin and J.Bond); the quarrel was sparked off due to a discrepancy with the amount of tips reimburse to the lady for her "companionship". What surprises the electrician was the indifferent attitude (Mr. R busy digging his nose away while shorty Mr.J singing his favourite Mayday song) exhibit by his friends throughout the commotion that lead him to the conclusion that it’s not the first time such discrepancy surfaced.

With further probing, it was realized that the customer offered only $10 due to high level of dis-satisfaction suffered by him. Based on an unnamed source, the minimum market rate ranges between $20 to $30 for a session of companionship involving “non-special” activities. Some of the dissatisfaction cited includes lack of affection, poor attitude, subpar stimulation, foul breath and constant butterfly. It appears that the Singaporean was a usual victim of “Robert” by PRC that accusation and stereotyping wasn’t spared from the heated argument.

Immediately, the lady recognized the denial behaviour exhibited by her customer and retaliated with verbal abuse claiming her “exposure” has seen bigger money than a mere additional $10 note tightly withheld by her cheapo customer. Besides, she stood firmly to her working ethics and would not allow such obnoxious customer getting scot-free without reimbursing the fair amount for her companionship services.

Sensing her fear, desperateness and demonstration of lower values, the customer decided to leapfrog his advantage by summoning the manager to the room to resolve the issue. By spending a considerable amount of time arguing over that $10, she has overlooked the fact that she could have earned more than $10 with the same amount of time with other customers.

Finally, that customer has satisfied his ego and share of fun, he handed that additional $10 note to the lady that brought a grin on her face and she left the room gingerly filled with satisfaction. To add further pain to her ordeal, she accidentally left behind her Esprit t-shirt that easily cost $30 and above.

To the horror & disgust of the electrician, those 3 guys started to think of unimaginable act by peeing on the t-shirt inside the KTV room !!! Gosh ! That would easily warrant a few violation of civil law (e.g. vandalism of property & indecent exposure).

Looks like a pretty bad night for her, besides losing her t-shirt worth $30 stained with pee, she has to work real hard in gaining that additional $10 by losing another $20-$40 of opportunity cost.

Brendan Fraser is the guy popular with such adventurous movies plot. Yawn............ kind of boring that show after show is about the same old stunt from that guy.

So what's new with this movie ? Are we expecting some mummies chasing after them ? Anyway, this show looks like a combination between Jurassic Park and National Treasure. During the show, you will see dinosaurs, flying HUGE piranha, man-eating plants and plenty of uncovering of clues and tunnels.

You have to watch this show without asking and applying too many questions and logical thinking. In such show, typically will not result in any death, unlimited supplies and resources, tons of luck and coincidence.

The story started off with Brendan's sister in-law requesting his help to take care of his nephew for the next 10 days while similarly passing him a carton of old stuff left by his deceased brother. Within that box, it contain a book with the same title as the show documenting their experience to the center of the earth. Believing it's real, they set off the journey with their mountain guide in search of what has happened to his brother.

The story started in the future (2012) whereby the America's economy could no longer support the prison system. Thus, the prison has to find it's own way in sustaining it's own operation and at the same time keeping those convicts away from the public.

From there, it has modernized the Roman empire's "Gladiator" style of killing each other into various form to entertain the public earning money to sustain it's operation. However, after a while, the audience get bored and demand more "exciting" style that gave birth to Death Race.

Jason was sentence to jail for something (killing his wife) he never commit. Been an ex-racer, he was immediately drafted by the prison system in participating the death race with each racer given the promise of freedom with 5 wins.

So who killed his wife ? What do they want from Jason ? How did Jason fool the system ? Watch on and get entertain by the killings and gore.................................

A. Slipstream the SATA drivers into the installation disc

In the original Windows XP installation disc, it does not include any SATA drivers in it. Thus, during installation process, the OS will fail to detect the presence of a hardisk (even though physically it exist) and abort the installation process. Refer to the guide for information on how to slipstream.

C. Installation of drivers

After the installation of Windows XP operating system (I am assuming the reader has the knowledge of performing basic OS installation via bootable CD-ROM), install the drivers in the following sequence (tested to work for me) :

For item 1-7, it's pretty straight forward and in fact, you can change the sequence between 3 and 4 depending which mode of connection is more readily available to you.

I would like to bring your attention to item 8 and 9 which are the most difficult and additional steps have to be taken care of to ensure successful installation.

After installing item #8, refer to the following thread (look for a post by Cherly.G dated 22nd Dec'07 01:51:17 GMT) and follow the steps in installing item #9.
